Intro to the Quiet One Blender
Vitamix has two lines of blenders to match home and business use. The business line is warrantied for commercial use and high volume environments. They have two types of business blenders: beverage blenders and food preparation blenders.
Their beverage blenders consist of 5 products that vary in features and characteristics. The Quiet One is the most advanced and fully featured model.
What makes this blender stand out is its noise-dampening technology making it ideal for front of house locations. It is designed to produce less noise than an average blender due to the 36019 sound enclosure that covers the blending container.
With its 3-horsepower motor, this machine works quickly and efficiently to provide you with the drink of your choice. It’s perfect for making smoothies, frappes, and frozen drinks.
It comes with 6 optimized programs, 34 power settings and automatic shutoff for hand free blending. You can easily adjust these settings to get the drink texture that you want. This is ideal if you have multiple blenders or locations as you can standardize all of your blenders with the same blending programs for employee efficiency.
The Quiet One works great on bar tops and counters. Not only for being the quietest Vitamix, but also because it doesn’t take up much space.
It uses Vitamix’s 48-oz polycarbonate “Advance Jar” with easy pour spout to reduce any spills. This plastic container has precise markings to make sure that all your recipes come out right.
The 2 prong flat blade is integrated into the Advance Jar.

Preset Blend Cycles
The Quiet One comes with 6 buttons for its pre-programmed cycles. Your choice depends on what type of drink you’re about to make.
For instance, the first button blends smoothies and juices to a creamy consistency. The second one does the same thing but for larger amounts.
The third button blends frozen coffee and juices. As for the fourth, you can use it to make thick ice-cream drinks. If you’re about to mix hard-to-blend ice-cream drinks, you should press the fifth button.
Last but not least, the sixth button blends frozen fruits and harder ingredients to produce thick smoothies.
Speed Settings
While using the preset programs might work for you, you can rely on the manual speed settings, too. Wondering why you need those?
Each preset setting has its own speed and time limits. After you put one of those to use, you might figure out that your drink needs some extra blending before serving. In this case, you’ll have to do it using the other buttons available.
The Vitamix Quiet One comes with two-speed buttons. These “Up and Down” buttons let you control the speed on a scale of 1% to 100%.
There are also high and low pulse buttons.
The programs are optimized for the Vitamix Advance Container. To learn more about the programming capabilities, take a look at the manual which explains it in detail.
Performance
The 3HP motor is a lot of power for a 48 ounce capacity jar. (Competing blenders can have up 60-65 ounce capacity). Vitamix’s blade design and torque can puree an drink you can imagine.
It can make hot soups (up to 170degrees just from friction), dips, salsa, and purees. Since it is designed as a drink blender and not as a food prep blender, it is not the best choice if you are looking to make nut butter, mill flours, grind meats, or blend really thick recipes especially since it doesn’t have a tamper.

Vitamix Quiet One or Blendtec Stealth ?
The Blendtec Stealth is the blender that is most commonly compared to Vitamix’s Quiet One as both focus on high volume drink blending with noise dampening.
Here is how they match up :
- The Blendtec has LED controls on top versus the Vitamix has the push buttons on the front.
- Both offer programmable blending cycles but the Blendtec is more customizable with “Profiles”.
- The Quiet One is slightly quieter but the Stealth is more powerful.
- The Vitamix advance jar has an angled corner for easier pouring which the Blendtec does not have.
- Both can be used for on-counter or in-counter settings.
Overall, both are good blenders and you will typically see one of these models in high volume coffee or smoothie store chains.
While I love Vitamix blenders, I choose the Blendtec Stealth as my favorite commercial drink blender due to extra power, features, design, and reliability.
The Quiet One is still a good choice but I gave the edge to the Stealth.

Final Thoughts
Hopefully in this Vitamix Quiet One blender review, I answered all of your questions. It is one of the most popular drink blenders for businesses on the market.
It blends really well and provides a consistent result. The noise levels should provide you with a noise level similar to that of a normal conversation.
However, because it’s only designed for drinks, you can’t use it for food processing. Despite that, it’s a suitable choice for coffee shops, smoothie stores, restaurants and bars.
